Massage therapy is quite personal to me because it saved my quality of life. Due to a brain surgery in 2003, I was prescribed physical therapy along with medication. As a result of the medications, I experienced severe reactions causing more problems. The physical therapy was not able to focus on my specific needs which limited my results. This led me to start looking for ways to help my body and brain heal from surgery because I was in a lot of pain. My first discovery was Young Living essential oils....

This led me to start looking for ways to help my body and brain heal from surgery because I was in a lot of pain.

My first discovery was Young Living essential oils. I was amazed at the raindrop treatment as it decreased my pain significantly. In the days that followed, I learned more about essential oils, massage and how different types of massages could help my body and brain heal. The culmination of these experiences led me to go to massage school because I yearned to help others who were suffering just
like I was.

Over the last 11 years, I have sought ways to help client’s massages last longer and to be more impactful to allow them resume living a full life again. The simple truth is this: getting massages before and after surgery will reduce your recovery time. A huge part of my passion is to help bodies heal without relying solely on pain medication. I am constantly looking for ways to help others live life to the fullest.

I learned after brain surgery how much I took life for granted and how much being in pain stopped me from doing basic things I used to enjoy. Helping my body heal allowed me to get my life back and much more. In essence, that is what I want to give to my customers and patients. Here, you always find a place that cares about you and is focused on helping you get back the life you want to create.
Mission: Helping people get out of pain and live life to their fullest.

Our mission started just as a dream during many lonely, painful, and sleepless nights. It is simple: We believe in relieving pain and restoring lives through the power of medical massage.

Meditation and Yoga have a special place in my heart.  I have learned, through personal experience, about the healing properties of these practices.  Meditation, in particular, has given me the balance and calm that I feel is essential in my own life, and I have dedicated myself to helping others in their pursuit of health and happiness.  I started my health and wellness journey in nursing school and progressed on through 14 years of college education, training in Sports Medicine, Athletic Training, Psychology, Meditation, and Yoga.

From a very young age, helping people was my goal.  I was able to attend nursing school directly after high school graduation, and that is when my journey took off.  After two years of nursing school, clinical work, and certification, I decided to continue my education in Sports Medicine and Athletic Training.  I studied in those programs for three years before deciding that I wanted to turn my focus inward after taking a course in Psychology of Sport.

Anatomy, Physiology, Kinesiology, and Injury Prevention continue to be of particular interest to me, but the mind was my new focus.  I wanted to learn about healing the whole body.  I ended up getting my initial degrees from the University of Wyoming.  I have a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies with Concentrations in Southeast Asian Religions and Christianity.

After leaving Wyoming, I went to study at Naropa University.  I was taught Tibetan Buddhist Meditation by Lama Tenpa, Judith Simmer-Brown, and other world renowned Buddhism scholars.  Learning more about myself and how I wanted to help others during graduate school was invaluable.  As part of my education, I completed a month long Yoga and Meditation retreat and Yoga Teacher Training.

After everything was said and done, I left Naropa University with the ability to teach Meditation and Yoga, and with a Master of Arts degree in Indo-Tibetan Buddhism with a Concentration in History of Religion.  More than that, though, I have the ability to help people.  I can offer tools to allow people to know and better themselves.

Since completing my Masters of Arts degree, I have continued learning, and have earned an additional certification as a Mindfulness and Meditation Instructor.  Continuing education is important to me, and there will be more to come!

Wellness is a journey….

It is a journey I embarked on after experiencing deep pain and illness.

Growing up, I never thought to take care of my body.  Even as a dancer, I was never really taught about healthy eating, and how to treat my insides as well as I did the outside.  As a result, in my early twenties, I was shocked to find myself ill and unable to function.   The medical world was not really sure what was wrong, so I found myself in a position of taking handfuls of medications each day.  By my mid 30s, I was mostly bedridden, and unable to function.

After some research, and another doctor giving me yet another pill, I decided enough was enough…so I started looking into alternatives.   Finding how food and lifestyle can have a drastic change in the body, I delved into the world of nutrition and wellness.   After about a year of clean eating, and amazing nutritional support, I was able to get off all medications and create a new future for myself.

My background is in the medical field, as an Occupational Therapist.  I also grew up with my mom, who was a nurse…so I always knew I wanted to help people.  When I discovered that nutrition and mental wellness were just as, if not more, important that physical fitness, I knew this was the path for me.

I am super excited to provide the best ways to incorporate wellness into your life, including eating plans, Wellness Retreats, fun classes and so much more!

I have now been helping people balance their fitness and health for over 10 years, and I am looking forward to integrating with such a renowned company as Healing Solutions Inc!
